Although this machine has been running for over seven years now, it has been completely upgraded and reinstalled over the years. Currently it sports an AMD Athlon64x2 5200+, 2GB RAM, and about 500GB of storage. It is running Debian GNU/Linux testing.oortoort is my new IBM ThinkPad T43. It has a 1.86GHz Pentium M, 512MB RAM, and 40GB of storage. This mean little laptop packs quite a punch with its 1400x1050 LCD display, Serial ATA, and PCI Express. I will someday post my experiences with installing and running Debian on it.auroraaurora is an IBM ThinkPad T21. It has an 800MHz PIII Coppermine, 256MB of RAM, and 40GB of storage. It was a nice, light laptop but lacked basic features such as a CD-ROM drive or an internal floppy drive. Unfortunately it was not very rugged either as it only lasted about a year or so -- the hinges were the first to give out and the LCD connector went next. Fortunately the T series models proved to be much more durable.gorgongorgon is a dual Pentium III 450MHz machine which does routing and other services at my new house.chimerachimera is a Pentium III 550MHz hosted at the IEEE student organization room at UC Santa Cruz. It has 256MB of RAM and 20GB of storage. It's running Debian GNU/Linux unstable.thinktankthinktank is one of my older machines; it is a PowerMac 6500/250 with 64MB of RAM and about 3GB of storage. I have it dual-booting MacOS 7.6.1 and Debian GNU/Linux unstable. This was the first workstation that I ran Linux on. It's usually off since it doesn't have much purpose left. I sometimes use it as a 'Mactendo' to play old Mac games.phloamphloam is a Sun SPARCstation 10. It has a 40MHz chip inside, 64MB of RAM, and about 2GB of storage. It's running Debian GNU/Linux unstable and doesn't really do anything, so I usually just keep it off. It's mainly for testing purposes. |
